Gainesville Lodge No. 41 Free and Accepted Masons was Chartered in 1857 after 18 Masons from the area petitioned the Grand Lodge of Florida for a Charter to meet as a new Lodge. The Lodge members met in a variety of buildings over the next decades until a new and grand home was built on the Main St. of the city in 1908.
The Lodge Building on North Main St. was the home for Gainesville Lodge No. 41 as well as other Masonic Organizations including the York Rite Masonic Organizations, The Scottish Rite Masons, The Order of the Eastern Star as well as Masonic Youth Groups.
The Lodge moved to its new location at 2207 N.W. 13th St. in 2020.
